Details: Attila and Michele’s one acre botanical wonderland adjoining a lake reserve with some lovely elevated views of the lake and surrounding valley. There are many rare and unusual plants from across the world and almost every plant in the garden (over 10,000 at last count) was grown from seeds or cuttings raised onsite, except for the large central bottle tree (Brachychiton rupestris). The whole garden’s focus is towards using a diverse range of waterwise plants, notably succulents, native trees and plants, flaxes and grasses and hundreds of bromeliads. Not only are succulent plants a feature, they now dominate parts of the garden design, but a deliberate inclusion of aesthetically compatible native brachychitons, bulbs and spear lilies.
