Following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the following Message of Condolence has been sent to His Majesty King Charles III and William, Prince of Wales on behalf of the Committee and Membership of the Royal Horticultural Society of Victoria.

It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

With grace and steadfastness, Queen Elizabeth II provided leadership by example and did so in a manner that supported and encouraged the Royal Horticultural Society of Victoria and society as a whole. The position of monarch has changed over the years, and Her Majesty used her position for the benefit of all. It is a job well done.

Queen Elizabeth II was also a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and we send our condolences to her loved ones.

Our thoughts are also with His Majesty King Charles III. In a world of many problems, his is not an envious position.
One thing we know is that his love of gardening will support him as it does all gardeners.

We wish him well.
